Us Kids Know recently had their Problems Album Launch, in 2009 the KRNGY logo helped Us Kids Know record their Friendship test EP at the Gem Bioscope in Johannesburg, it was a weekend of hard work, cold hard floors, rubber bullets, rain and lots of coffee! The EP was released on their own label Vuvuzela Incorporation. Here's some links....

Tupperware Tombstone Album Launch

In December 2007 Sticky Antlers took to the stage for the very first time. Two of our members had never played a musical instrument before and together we created an uninhibited noise that we learned to shape into songs over the following couple of years. You can imagine that there were no expectations to get anywhere in the music industry with what we were creating, freeing us from certain “responsibilities” other bands would have. In the beginning and even on the debut album our recipe was simple, brute force + chemistry=?!

Live we would work ourselves into a frenzied trance, not really aware of the audiences’ response to our somewhat antagonistic sound. For better or worse we would not compromise on this live aesthetic, it was too cleansing and therapeutic to submerge into complete release.

And then for no reason we seemed to perpetuate beyond our initial goal; more shows were played than planned, touring to Potchefstroom, Kimberley and Cape Town, releasing 4 albums over 2 years (two of which are incredibly rare CD-R’s and currently out of print), appearing in various reviews and magazines and realizing that as we progressed less and less people seemed to run away from our “wall of noise”. But all good things must come to an end and in true Sticky Antlers DIY spirit we’ve decided when, where and how. 2010 marks a sad year but we will not leave you empty handed. Tupperware Tombstone, Sticky Antlers last album is set to be released at the final shows on August 26 at Bohemian in Johannesburg and on August 27 at “Riot Fest” held at Shivas in Pretoria. Promotional trailers and music videos from some of the singles have already popped up on various popular internet sites.

The first 50 Copies of the Album will be sold as a beautifully packaged CD-r with a two hour bonus DVD, released for the first time at the Sticky Antlers Album launch on the 26th. The DVD will only be sold with the CD-R’s (the album will later be replicated and distributed to shops through the KRNGY logo and various friendly friends) so if you want a copy of the movie you’ll have to get it through the KRNGY logo personally or at one of the two final shows before they are sold up! The video is a non-linear cut up collage of the forty hours of amateur footage that survived Sticky Antlers, leaving a comprehensive documentation and an audio track spanning from their earliest recordings to the last. At the end of the day we were proud to be different, always bordering on either hypnotic or completely psychotic: an approach that shows a band of outsiders that had no intention of getting ‘inside’.
